About NCKC
Founded in 1984 to provide affordable karting support to the National Capital region, the club has today grown to support racers competing across Ontario and Quebec.
Welcome to the National Capital Kart Club, we are a competitive karting club based around the Ottawa valley region. Unlike other karting clubs in Canada, we are a travelling club, adding variety to our schedule by using different tracks and competing in multiple different championships.
Racers vary in age from 8 on up and we have several different classes of karts (based on weight, age, and motor type) that are eligible to race.
Travelling Club Model
We support our members at many tracks, no matter it be at a local or national event.
Classes for All
Whether you’re a first time racer or seasoned vet, we have a class for you.
Detailed Resources
From setup guides to track notes, our resource center is the place to look.
Racing takes place on Sundays throughout the summer months (typically May – October) with championship points being accrued from each of the races to a season ladder. Saturdays before race days are usually available to racers, for practice and tuning. Space is available for racers to camp overnight at the track. We do have many racers who travel with motorhomes and RVs to the tracks and stay overnight creating a unique bond between members in the club.
Board of Directors
The day-to-day operations of our club is governed by a board of directors consisting of 3 to 7 individuals elected by members at the fall Annual General Meeting (AGM). The board meets as necessary through the year to address items needing attention. Twice a year (in the spring and the fall), an AGM is held with members and minutes of these gatherings are drafted and approved at the subsequent AGM. This governance structure is prescribed in our club by-laws available from this web site.
